Prof Dr.N.Sadasivan writes from Thiruvananthapuram....

I am Prof Dr.N.Sadasivan(id:edelweiss97a@yahoo.in).Please acknolwledge my hearty congratulations for launching a global URL.I appreciate your efforts to popularize this website. However it can have any practical use for the computer savvy and in spite of our tradition and all that ,very few of us are really good at this wonderful skill...Secondly it is costly to upload a snapshot unless it is taken digitally.
Our community problem is that we are so few in number--am told we are below 10,000 in the whole world--and so we must encourage other communities to visit out URL too.Related communities like the Ambalavasis and Nairs I think..

Love and warm regards, Dr Sadasivan.

Subject: Thanks!

Thanks for sharing the info regards the website http://www.warriersonline.com/. It is exciting to see such a directory existing online to help locate family members and connect with them. I have registered and also forwarded the info to some other family members. Please feel free to look us up when you travel to California.

Message fro Shri Venugopal Varrier of Baroda Varriers

Sir,

That was on the the objective keeping in mind I have accepted the invitation. I am very much interested to interact with people in general and our community members in particular. Here in Baroda I am managing a community group in the name of all variers, varikoot and baroda variers meant for variers in general, variours of gujarat and variers of baroda settled. Though the activities are in a snail pace four to five postings will be there in a day. This media we are using as a connecting link and our Kurry-monthly meetings informations are communicated through this link.

We do have about 13 varier families in Baroda and about 16 families are in Anand about 60 kms away from Baroda. Ahmedabad also have a huge community members but participation in the group is seldom. Everybody is engaged and busy in their own daily chores, people are getting lesser time for this addtional activity.

Anyway thanks for the invitation and continue to mail whenever you get few minutes to spare.

On behalf of Baroda variers once again thanks.

With warm regards

Venugopal

Thank you very much for your kind courtesy.I met my family in the site.I appreciate the hard work put in by you and your team mates in making the long cherished desire a reality.I am also fully aware that teething troubles in any venture will be a universal phenomenon. Hard work, determination and foresight , which, you are already having, will definitely solve these problems.Incidentally, I may suggest that under the caption "updates" the subheadings "events" and "news" may be clearly identified so as to avoid duplication. I also could not see the details of our pilgrimmage to Madurai and Rameswaram. Another matter I want to point out is that usually the people send the entire folder through Piccasa to save time and expense, without weeding out duplications and irrelevant pictures. Hence I would suggest that the discretion for the selection of pictures should be vested with "info" of the Team Management. This will save sufficient space for the site. Ofcourse, my opinion is only that of a layman who has no knowledge about the intricacies involved. I once again congratulate you and the team for the bold step undertaken in the interest of the WARRIERS in the Globe.

The idea of having a website for the Samithy is really praiseworthy. It was really a proud moment for me and I hope it is so for the other members of the Samithy. I am sure this website will go a long way in improving interaction and information sharing among our members.
It is noteworthy that some elderly members of our community who happened to be in NCR on that day attended the function and interacted with us.
The function was well organized and the credit for this should go to Mr. Radhakrishnan who hosted the function at his residence at Vipul Greens, Sohna Road, Gurgaon.

I am indeed delighted that a long awaited Website for our Community was born on Thiruvonam Star on 22.02.2009 in the evening at Gurgaon, Haryana with the patronage of Mr. Balagopal Keeran and Mr. Tajinder Singh of B&T Group along with sincere efforts put in by quite a few dedicated Members of Delhi Warrier Samity, which no doubt is praiseworthy. Let us jointly make this a healthy and joyous platform to interact with our community members in India and abroad for useful purposes henceforth. Please accept my congratulations
